Keep up the great work!

I will be in the Sebastopol area Nov. 26-28, 2011 and wondered if I might be able to meet Jay or someone else from Tumbleweed? Could I buy you lunch and kick around some design ideas and business ideas?

I am absolutely in love with these, from the concept of smaller living to the finishing and the greenness. Every detail is thought out. In light of that the price for a plan seems low to me... (maybe that's because I'm a designer/maker and understand the cost of research?). This is the kind of independence that seems in reach in a humane kind of way, no self inflicted slavery! The two main problems are not being able to get finance, I don't have much of a disposable income...and where to park it legally.

I would like to know if you are able to ship these out to the UK or Europe (I live in London). It costs close to $500.000 here for a studio flat in a bad neighborhood here so a tiny house would be a much welcomed opportunity to live a more breathable life. In London people from 18 to 50 are living in student accommodation and moving back with their parents to survive. Tiny's could solve a lot of problems for a lot of people...

I am still having an issue with where you can place these homes. I am really interested in living in one of the Tumbleweed Homes, however, living in Southern Ontario, Canada with all its municpal regulations concerns me. As far as setting them up in a provincial park area, the cost, even if it were allowed, would be prohibitive. Can someone provide me with a real life situation in this regard following right through from the initial contact with the owner of the land and the steps involved in actually setting up your "Tiny House" ready to live in. Thank you.

My family owns a home in Freeport, Maine on a beautiful 5 acre property. The idea of a tiny home is intriguing as my brother and I have moved out of the family home. My mother has stated that my dad needs a mancave of sorts and the kids need a guesthouse of sorts for ourselves and significant others when we visit. My boyfriend and I are also looking at making this our first home. Great stuff!
