Consultations

Jay Shafer offers private consultations for those of you who have purchased Tumbleweed plans and are in the process of building your Tumbleweed. Private consultations are $100/hr and may be conducted via telephone or in person. For those who are traveling to Sebastopol, a private house tour may be included.

Consultations are not our primary business, and we add them as a service to people who need answers fast. In general, we recommend our workshops as the best way to connect with us and have your questions answered.

Once you pay for your consultation, you’ll receive an email with Jay’s cell phone number and you can set up a time to talk with him during the next 10 days. If you are in a rush and need a consultation immediately, it is probably too late as Jay’s time is booked days in advance.

How to make the most out of your consultation

• Come prepared with questions for your specific project. If you’re looking for answers to general questions, please consider purchasing Jay’s book.
• Remember Jay is just a regular guy. Too often people get so excited when they meet Jay, they’ll spend the entire hour talking and forget to ask their questions.
• If you have pictures you want Jay to see, please have them ready before the consult. You can email them to him while you are talking.
