You'd have to dispense with the bed, of course, but Jay mentioned earlier that a washer/dryer, either a compact or stackable unit, would more than fit. At 6'x4', that bedroom isn't much larger than my current laundry closet anyway. You'd need room to walk in and to get appliance doors open, and you might even have some space for pantry storage.

From what I understand, no furniture (except Jay's custom-made mattress) comes with; from past posts, I gather that most of the furnture is from Ikea.

The refrigerator is next to the sink, under the counter -- I thought, at first, that it was a dishwasher!

And I personally plan to home-cook meals. I may have to shop more frequently, as there's not a lot of freezer space nor pantry space for canned or boxed goods, but I'm then FORCED to eat fresh, and if we're all looking at simplifying -- going green and healthy -- isn't that part of it? No room for liters of soda or bags of potato chips, so no money spent and no calories wasted! I can use my table as prep space, and there's room on the counter for my toaster oven. Easy-peasy!

More of a catwalk than a ramp, and you'd want railings! I'd wondered if it were possible to enclose more of the loft (once the mattress was up, of course!), and replace the angled ladder with one mounted to the bathroom wall. If not, then I could mount clothes line across the loft and hang laundry while standing on the catwalk!

Love these houses!

A picky point... it should be "board and batten", not "board and baton".

I agree with you Kristin. I also would suggest if traveling to put the lusby on a 20" trailer this way you would have room for those who want the combo washer/dryer and oven and you could also extend the loft area to have a second bedroom. For the ladder I was thinking possible put an attic door with stairs built in like in the older homes this way it frees up space in the main area from a free standing ladder.
