Earlier this year we announced two of our latest Tumbleweed designs: the Roanoke and the Farallon. Both of these new models exhibit contemporary aesthetics while maximizing square footage with the help of our innovative Low-Wider trailer. Today we’d like to share a custom Roanoke we recently built based on the owner’s specific needs and wants.
Unlike our other designs, the Roanoke comes standard with a shed roof, side door and no porch.
The interior living space of the 20 foot Roanoke model is 188 square feet, and the 26 foot model is 258 square feet. That is huge (for tiny standards)! A downstairs bedroom can be accommodated in this design, which is a popular request. Many of the Roanoke floor plans feature this option.
The owner of this custom Roanoke chose a lofted bedroom, keeping an open layout on the ground floor. The staircase in this design is easy to climb and features storage compartments for bulky items.
Overhead skylights and two rows of windows provide plenty of natural light in this design’s great room. Two compact ceiling fans provide air circulation. A mini-split has been installed for heating and cooling. The kitchen includes: a two burner electric stovetop, a butcher block countertop, stainless steel sink, and a full size refrigerator/freezer.
A spacious bathroom is located under the loft and features a RV flush toilet, sink, washer/dryer unit, and a three piece shower. To create a contemporary exterior, a combination of cedar and metal siding was used. We think it looks pretty sleek!
