The first Tumbleweed Tiny House was built in 1999 on a trailer because building codes wouldn’t allow a house to be built this tiny. It registered in at 8′ wide by 12′ long for a total of 96 square feet and originally sold for $32,000 despite having no running water or electric hookups. Derek “Deek” Diedricksen takes you inside this classic.

About the Author: Tumbleweed
Tumbleweed is pioneering and simplifying tiny house ownership. As the largest manufacturer of Tiny House RVs in North America the Tumbleweed brand is preferred above all others.
Do you still build tenny tiny houses like the original tumbleweeds?
The smallest we build now-a-days is about 200 square feet. The original ones were half that size at just 100 square feet.
